As I stepped out of the train at Flam station, it just seemed I had arrived in a fairly tale village. Flam is located in a valley with mountains on 3 sides and the Aurlandsfjord at one end. One can simply sit back and soak the surrounding natural beauty. I had 3 hours and hence decided to stay put, walk around the village, visit the Rail Museum that detailed the construction of Flam railway line, absorb the magical scenery, and enjoy a leisurely lunch in the midst of nature over a bottle of chilled beer!
I am sure for many of us Indians, simply relaxing does not come naturally! It also took me a few trips before I realised more is not merrier when it comes to travel.
